How to set up a Vacation Responder (Out of Office reply) in Gmail
- On your computer, open Gmail and log in with your district account if you haven't already.
- In the top right, click Settings Settings.
- Scroll down to the "Vacation responder" section.
- Select Vacation responder on.
- Fill in the date range, subject, and message.
- Under your message, check the 'Only send a response to people in Forest Grove SD' box if you only want people on our domain to see your vacation reply (this is recommended, otherwise every email will be sent a vacation response, which potentially includes spammers (that can use the information in your signature to target you in the future)).
- At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Note: If you have a Gmail signature, it will be shown at the bottom of your vacation response.
