New Ticketing System

Wipe and Enroll iPad as staff device*

Instructions for teachers to wipe and enroll an iPad once IT has remotely moved it to the designated staff organization in Jamf.

Let me know if you follow these instructions and run into issues:

Wiping the iPad:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap on General
3. On the right side of the screen, scroll until you see "Reset" at the bottom of the screen. Tap "Reset."
4. Tap "Erase All Content and Settings."
5. Tap "Erase" in the prompt that pops up.
6. Tap "Erase" again at the second prompt.

Enroll Device:
1. Press Home to open
2. Select English
3. Select United States
4. Select "Set up Manually."
5. Select "FGSD-Public."
6. On the next window that says "Remote Management: FGSD will automatically configure your iPad," click "Next" up in the top right corner.
7. On the next Remote Management window, sing in with your district username (not full email) and password.
8. Click "Next" in the upper right corner.
9. Follow all remaining prompts to get to the home page. This includes selecting the Enable Location Settings option.

Once the iPad is re-enrolled, it can take up to 24 hours for it to connect to the correct policy and download district default apps. 

For additional apps, you will locate those in the SelfService app (might be labeled JamfSelfService) just as you did apps for the student iPads. To request an app that is not already in SelfService, send us the App Store link to the app. If you need those instructions, send in a ticket and let us know.
