Install Elmo Interactive Tool on Mac

Download the Mac version of EIT from here: https://www.elmousa.com/software/

In your downloads folder, double click the downloaded Elmo file to open the zip file and subsequent folder to locate the install option called "ELMO_Interactive_Toolbox_3.12.pkg." Double click that to start the install.

You will come up against a security issue and will need to follow these steps if it doesn't open you directly to the Security page:
1. Open System Preferences
     a. Click on the grey gear icon in your dock
         OR
     b. Click the apple at the top right of the screen and select System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy.
3. Click the General tab inside that window.
4. Here you should see this. Click "Open Anyway":

5. You may have to click the lock to unlock this and put in the password you use to log into your Mac. This is not always required.
6. Once you click Open Anyway, follow all remaining prompts to approve and begin the install.

When you attempt to use the software, it may come up with a prompt asking you to open system preferences. Click that option. If you see that prompt but then miss it somehow, here are the full instructions to get to those settings. (Note that until you see that prompt come up, this won't appear in your settings):
1. Open System Preferences
     a. Click on the grey gear icon in your dock
         OR
     b. Click the apple at the top right of the screen and select System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy.
3. Click Privacy on the right.
4. In the list on the left that comes up, scroll down and click on Accessibility.
5. On the left, you should see an unchecked box appear related to your EIT software.
6. Click the lock in the bottom left corner and put in your password to unlock it.
7. Check the box.
8. Click the lock again and close Settings.
