How to Fix the "Zoom Client must be Upgraded..." issue*

Chromebook users may get an error message saying  "Zoom Client must be upgraded" when trying to join a Zoom meeting. This is due to a teacher Zoom meeting setting. Please follow these steps to change the setting that causes this error:

1.Go to the Zoom Website (zoom.us)

2. Sign in using the Google Sign in Option

3. Click on Settings (Left Column)

4. Click on Edit Options under the WAITING ROOM OPTIONS header

5. Uncheck Allow participants in the waiting room to reply to host and co-hosts

The check box should now be empty


6. The check box should now be empty


7. Click on Continue
