Access Sub Account and Drive in Google Chrome

When using a sub computer, please follow the instructions taped to the computer for use. When you reach the step that talks about logging into the Chrome browser, please see the steps below for logging into your building's sub account.

You can get the sub email and password from the front office secretary. NOTE: The password changes every day. If subbing multiple days in a row in the same room, you will need to ask the school secretary for the password each day.

  1. If the computer was already logged in when you got it, please restart the computer and see the taped instructions to log in.

  2. Open Google Chrome.

    • If you're on a Mac, click on the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the screen and type in "Google Chrome."

    • Click on Google Chrome to open it when it shows up in the search options.

    • (If you are familiar with Macs, Google Chrome is located in the Applications folder, which you can find by opening Finder.)

    • If you're on a PC, locate Chrome in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. If it's not there, click the magnifying glass in the bottom left corner next to the Window icon and search for Chrome

  3. You should see this page. Click "Already a Chrome User? Sign in." If you see something different, please restart the computer, as this is an indication that it was not shut down after its last use.

4. You will get the Google sign in page. Please type in the email address for your specific building--e.g. hc-sub@fgsd.k12.or.us, di-sub@fgsd.k12.or.us, etcetera--and then click "Next." You can get this email address from the school secretary.

5. Type in the daily password and click "Next." (This changes every day. You can get this from the school secretary.)

6. Once logged in, click the square series of dots in the upper right corner and then select "Drive."

7. Anything any teacher has saved in this drive should be accessible. Double click on the file you are looking for to open it.

NOTE: If for any reason a document says you need permission to open it, you will need to contact that teacher directly, as they are the only one who can check their email for the link to give permission. No one, including IT, will be able to access that.
