How to setup a phone "MeetMe" Conference Bridge*

A "MeetMe" Conference Bridge is a way to setup a phone conference call with multiple people.

Steps to Setup a Conference Bridge

  1. Press any line button on the district Cisco phone selected to host the conference.
  2. Press the “more” button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Press the “MeetMe” button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Select and enter an extension for the conference bridge:

  • The available extensions are 1351 to 1359.
  • If the number you select is not available (i.e. another conference call is using that number), then select a different extension in the conference bridge range (1351 to 1359).

5. The “MeetMe” Conference Bridge is now setup and ready to accept attendees.

Steps to Join a Conference Bridge

  1. The conference host should provide the “MeetMe” Bridge extension to all attendees (i.e. send an email to attendees with the extension and staff line number).

  • In-District attendees just need to dial the conference bridge extension from a district Cisco phone - Skip to Step # 6.
  • Out-of-District attendees need to call any district staff line (i.e. 503-359-8110).

2. At the first prompt, attendees need to select a language option (1=English, 2=Spanish).
3. At the second prompt, attendees enter the extension number for the conference bridge provided in step 1.
4. A beep will be heard by all parties when the call is connected to the conference bridge.
5. Done.

*** Notes ***
  • Up to 12 people may join a “MeetMe” conference bridge.
  • The conference bridge will remain open as long as one caller is still connected. So, if the host or anyone else gets disconnected, they just need to call back into the bridge extension.
